Look at Me

I'm learning to hold my head up.

I'm getting really good.

I was also kicking my legs so much that I almost toppled over the Boppy. What can I say I'm a wiggle worm, even the doctor called me that.

It was a rough couple weeks, but now I'm on Pepcid for my acid reflux and I feel A LOT better! Oh and now I weigh 10 lbs 2 oz. I go back for my 1 month well appointment next week so we'll see how big I am then.

Fish Face

We were quite surprised to find out that we had a little fishy on our hands, but here he is:

10 lb Baby Brett

Hi Everyone,

I had my 2 week check-up earlier this week. After dropping down to 7lbs 15oz, I'm now back up and past my birth weight at 9lbs 10oz.

The doctor even asked mommy and daddy, "He didn't have that double chin before, did he?". Nope I sure didn't, but I do now...and I'm keeping mommy busy by working on a triple chin.

I love to eat and eat and eat. And when I'm not eating, I love to be in my swing or bouncer or laying on someone's chest. I also love car rides, but I don't like being strapped into my carseat.

That's all for now,
Brett

Boomer Sooner...Go Big Red!

Brett was so excited he made it into the world to cheer on the Sooners in the Tostitos Bowl. He had several hat/outfit changes throughout the day.

Excited to watch the game, not so excited that mom made him do a photo shoot when he just wanted to eat. Sorry baby boy, I had to get pictures while the outfit was still clean and we all know that doesn't last long.

Brett loves "watching" sports with his Daddy. It's so cute he just lays on the floor and turns his head toward the T.V. with his eyes wide open. Typical boy...can't turn his eyes away when a game is on.

*And yes, I realize this is several weeks after the game. Who would have thought it's a little harder to blog with a newborn.

First Bath

Brett got his first bath the second day we were home. We attempted to go to the bath class at the hospital before we were discharged, but we only made it 5 minutes before someone had a breakdown...and I'm not talking about Scott. Yes, we were definitely "that" couple who had the crying baby.

At first we weren't so sure if he was going to like it, but as soon as the water hit his head he was in heaven!

Hmmm...now I guess mommy needs a bath.
