All Too Soon...

When I said I'd be in for a lifetime of "feel-better" icees, who knew it would be so soon...

Still can't believe my 9month old has already had to get stitches (and at 26, I've still never had stitches)! He was such a little trooper though. I picked him up from daycare, took him across the street to the urgent care and I think the only reason he cried was because the nurses had to hold him down. The moment they were done no more tears were shed and as a special feel better treat he got to stay home with Daddy the rest of the day.

I've just had to realize I have a little daredevil!

Our Little Olympian

If speed crawling were a sport, Brett would definitely win first place every time...he'd be world olympian speed crawler. Seriously if you blink you'll miss him, but no worries, because odds are this is where he'll be:

Brett's First Ever Game Day

I guess if you count the Fiesta Bowl he "watched" when he was about a week old, Brett's second ever game day! Either way you look at it, it created a great photo op.

It's All in the Family

We have a 4th Pi Phi in the family now...not like she had much of a choice though being a triple legacy and all, but I don't think she minds!

Here we all are, L&A and I sporting our Bid Day shirts from our freshman years. Mine was voted best of all...I think it was the glittered wings. It was so fun to watch all the new girls interacting with each other; they are in for some great memories!

Brett even joined in on the excitement. Here he is in shirt #1...this was the shirt that made him a baby superstar. He was definitely the most popular boy there. All the girls loved it and he loved all the attention.

And here he is with shirt #2; homemade by Grammy. It was his special Aunt Linny shirt. What a little ham...can you tell he loved the attention?!?!

New Tricks

Here I go again with my favorite saying, it's amazing how much Brett changes every day! These should have been posted a couple months ago, but life gets in the way of that...

Around 7 months Brett started clapping his hands and now he claps at everything. He loves the music and dances and claps along everytime. A week after he started daycare, so right before he turned 7 months he learned to crawl. Slow and steady at first and before we knew it he was as fast as lightening (not quite, but pretty close). When he "disappears" around our house we know exactly where he is, either under one of our side tables or "playing" with the computer in our room, his two favorite spots.

At 8 months, Scott and I were surprised to find Brett like this after his nap. We were so excited that he was pulling himself up, but the excitment soon turned to panic as I realized we needed to lower the mattress. And then I failed to tell his teachers so naptime turned into a panic situation for them as well when Brett decided he was going to pull himself up and rip off his mobile.

And last night he stood by himself for about 2 seconds...

Oh and Brett's favorite new trick of all is his "funny face". It's more of a scarey, bobble head dance move but we'll just stick with "funny face". And don't worry if you haven't seen it, you will before too long, he does it for everyone he sees...it's like his famous move. Before too long everyone will be saying do the "the Brett face".
