Amish Country

This past weekend my parents came to visit and help us finish the nursery. On Friday, we took a trip to the Amish country. It was beautiful. Lots of rolling hills and trees and it was really neat seeing everyone travel by horse and buggy. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Our first stop was Smucker's:
Hmmm, who's bigger, me or the Pillsbury Dough Boy?!?!
Lots and lots of jelly and jam.
We ate a wonderful lunch at Mrs. Yoder's. The homemade peanut butter, apple butter and bread was definitely my favorite. I didn't capture a picture of it but we also tried a mustard pickled egg and a beet flavored pickled egg. The mustard egg was definitely the best.
We thought it was neat how they stored the corn.
It was obviously laundry day. Everyone had their laundry hanging out to dry. Then again when you have a large family and no dryer I'm sure every day is laundry day.
A lot of families had deer that they raised. Scott couldn't get over the rack on this deer.
The beautiful countryside.
