My Nemesis

That's right, Scott's on call. Only 3 1/2 more days though! I really thought we were in for it when he took over on Monday and they wouldn't stop beeping all night. Guess that was just a fluke though because it's been pretty quiet since then (knocking on wood right now).

In other news, Scott and I tried a local dive last night. We've wanted to try their "World Famous Wings" and since they were 39 cents last night we decided that would be the perfect time. The verdict: good, but I still prefer Buffalo Wild Wings. So last night as we were lying down for bed I swear I felt the baby moving. It really felt like the little one was doing somersaults. Maybe that had to do with the hot wings and Pepsi I had for dinner...so then again maybe it was just gas!

18 weeks today...one more week until the big reveal and then let the shopping begin!

Someone went to the Beauty Shop

"Mom, please give me a haircut. It's hot with all this fur." "Really, I need a haircut. I can't see anymore."
"Ahh, that's better. I'm a whole new puppy."
"Thanks Dad for the haircut, I look awesome! Now please send Mom to the beauty shop, those roots are horrible!"

Red, White and Blue Weekend

I know I'm a week late and my posts are now out of order since the 4th was before I was 16 weeks, but nonetheless I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend.

Scott & I had a fun-filled weekend. I started out the weekend by making a commerative red, white and blue star shaped fruit pizza. And then I proceeded to eat the entire thing by myself! I'm glad now I opted for the small pan. Eating well went out the window this weekend.

We spent most of the weekend with Scott's co-resident Nicole and her fiance, Dustin. Dustin was visiting from Oklahoma. We started out at a local brewery in Rocky River and let me tell you I think their specialty brew is ice water with lemon, I had to have 5 of them! But really, we will be visiting again after December so that I can try their Peanut Butter brew. Sounds so weird I think it may be really good. After the brewery, we watched the fireworks at Crocker Park.
Nicole & Dustin

Sunday morning, as we were walking out the door for church I realized Scott & I were coordinated in 4th of July colors so of course I had to capture the moment and our missing "white" had to join the picture too.

Sunday we spent the day wandering around the beaches of the area to see what they were all about. I never felt the water, but Scott said it was a lot warmer than Lake Michigan. Of course, it doesn't take much to be warmer than freezing! That night we saw the best firework show we've ever seen. After 30 minutes and what appeared to be the finale, they proceeded to have 3 more "finales". It was awesome!

We finished the long weekend by seeing Grown-ups on Monday. It was pretty funny. After the movie though, we both came home and crashed. I blamed my exhaustion on the pregnancy, Scott's excuse was that he's too old now!

It's crazy to think that we'll be in Oklahoma this time next year!

16 Weeks

Here I am at 16 weeks:

Starting to show a little more. I'm starting to use a hair tie to fasten my pants instead of buttoning the top button, I can still get it buttoned, but it's way more comfortable with the hair tie. It's genious, I think I'll continue that after the baby is born too, I don't know why I have to be pregnant to use one; I'm just thinking of all the pants I could fit in to again, I'll have a new wardrobe.

Feeling great! Working out and eating right helps...so does not working!

Boy or girl? We'll find out July 29th.

New Recipe

So as I was baking the other day, I discovered a new recipe...cookie crumbs! They are delicious, soft and fun to eat. You should try them today!

So maybe they were supposed to be cookies and maybe I used butter instead of shortening and maybe they wouldn't come off the pan hence the crumb part of the recipe.

Oh and I'm 15 weeks, new baby bump picture posted in 1 week.
